"I Am David" is the life story of Mickey Bell.  When you look at David's story, it parallels to that of the journey that brought Mickey where he is today.  The struggles, the triumphs, the mess and the message comes forth from the pages to help the reader appreciate the God who gives another chance.

This has to be the most transparent book ever written as Mickey discloses the ugliness of his sins and his thoughts.  But you can't close the book until you experience true redemption.

We praise the drug addict who is two years clean from recovery. We honor the alcoholic who is five years sober.  But we tend to kick our spiritual leaders to the curb when we find out they are not what we want them to be due to their secret addictions and shortcomings.

  • Who is going to reach out to the Christian Pastor who has fallen into the infidelity trap?
  • Someone has to make themselves available to the youth minster who is addicted to pornography.
  • Who is reaching the worship leader who deals with sexual confusion?

They are unable to say a word to anyone in fear of losing their jobs and their livelihood.  They need to be in recovery as well but they are unable to share their secrets in fear of retaliation.

In this autobiography, you will meet a Christian Pastor who had all the charisma to lead a growing church but didn't have the ability to control his own demons that were placed on him at an early age.  Taking the life of King David as a pattern, you will notice that we have a little David in all of us.
Mickey exposes himself to the readers in this autobiography in hopes of saving marriages, relationships, and ministries. By learning from his mistakes, he hopes the information found in this self-help book will help you come to terms with your shortfalls and give you the boldness to address some really tough issues.

He shares his battle with depression and how it almost cost him is family and even his life.

You are not alone! There is someone who knows what you are dealing with, and the answer is found in this book.
